Role Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Technician – Printers & Copiers to support business and consumer clients with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of printer and copier systems. This role is ideal for technicians with hands-on experience or individuals with basic IT knowledge looking to grow into a professional field service career.

Technicians will receive job dispatches, diagnostics assistance, and documentation support through the Eagle-tech.ai platform.


Key Responsibilities

Field Service & Technical Support

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair printers and copiers (laser, inkjet, MFPs).
  • Perform installations, configurations, and network setups.
  • Replace consumables and hardware components (rollers, fusers, drums, etc.).
  • Conduct routine maintenance and preventative servicing.

IT & Network Support (Basic to Intermediate)

  • Configure printers on local networks (Ethernet / Wi-Fi).
  • Troubleshoot print queue issues, drivers, and OS compatibility.
  • Work with basic TCP/IP, DNS, and shared printer environments.
  • Interface with Windows and macOS systems.

Customer Experience

  • Provide professional, courteous on-site support.
  • Explain issues and resolutions in clear, non-technical language.
  • Maintain service documentation via the Eagle-tech.ai platform.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience repairing printers/copiers OR
    Basic IT knowledge with strong willingness to learn.
  • Understanding of computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems (macOS a plus).
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior field service or helpdesk experience.
  • Knowledge of brands such as HP, Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, Brother, Kyocera.
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, router/switch concepts).
  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification (preferred, not required).
